Vis is probably the cleanest part of the Adriatic sea as it is the farthest island from the mainland. It has been isolated for many years and has maintained its unspoiled beauties and laid back lifestyle.
On the south side of the island, the open sea waves sculptured some of the most eye catching coves and beaches. Exploring the coves, surrounding archipelago, beaches, the Blue Cave, small Vis and Komiza towns as well as the gorgeous vineyard filled inland makes one feel as in a dreamy movie.
Established by the Greeks Vis breathes history and you can feel it every step you take. The wine is also something each islander is proud of – so make sure you have some at your wedding and during your wedding week or weekend!
The local varieties have been cultivated for centuries and are now becoming more and more recognized: Plavac mali, Vugava, Rukatac – all of them go great with local fresh sea food, meat and veggie dishes as well as cheese and brick oven baked bread.
Vis offers peace and quiet and stunning venues for your wedding – be it a 200 year old Fort, bohemian garden or seaside terrace. You and your guests will enjoy not only your wedding day, but other activities as well: go on a boat trip, sample the food at local old and new restaurants, get a quirky souvenir or experience some active sea sport (kayaks, paddle boards and more).
