We're professional, responsive, organized and creative, all must-have ingredients for a wedding planner. We love our spreadsheets just as much as our flowers, stationery and coming up with the best design solutions!
Our team is also proud of our long-term relationships with the local vendors and our in-depth knowledge of all things Croatia!
Hi there! We're Mario, Milda and Irene, and we're wedding planners driven by our passion for weddings, genuine emotion and, of course – love!
Our unique backgrounds and skillsets allow us to create unique wedding experiences for all our couples, from those first steps to the moment they're hugging their guests goodbye at the end of an epic night.
Milda
I have always been interested in event planning. After organizing several events for my friends, I began to plan events for various organizations. After planning events throughout several different industries I realized that the one area I was really passionate about was wedding planning. That being said…I’ve been planning destination weddings in beautiful Croatia for more than ten years now!
My goal is to create a day that the bride, groom and their guests will never forget! Together with my team, we make sure that our couples’ personalities and wishes come to life through locations, entertainment, styling and all other elements of the wedding. Every detail counts, but what counts the most is the stress free months of planning before the BIG day that our couples can enjoy knowing that everything is taken care of. I love the exciting look on their faces after they say their “I do’s” – those looks shine with happiness and shout “WE DID IT!”.
When I’m not planning weddings I travel, do yoga and read obsessively. Travelling gives me the opportunity to learn more about and experience different cultures, while meeting unique, inspiring people. When I need to relax or just be with myself I listen to Diana Krall, Jamiroquai or The White Stripes. I am a life-long fan of author John Irving, Scandinavian thrillers (Jo Nesbo, Stieg Larson..), Jack Kerouac’s “On the road”, but I also love non-fiction such as Malcom Gladwell, Nassim Taleb and various history books too.

Hi, I’m IRENA!
For as long as I can remember I have wanted to make things beautiful. As a child on play dates I would always be more interested in my playmate’s bedroom decor than in her newest toy collection. As a young adult rather than pursuing a career in design, I chose to climb the corporate ladder. After several successful years in business marketing I realized I still wanted to redecorate every room I walked into. This is when I decided to make my dream a reality, and began an apprenticeship with a wedding design company in Vancouver, Canada. Shortly after my career change, another life altering decision was made when my family and I decided to leave Vancouver and move to Split, Croatia. Hence, the creation of Prestiž Dizajn in 2009. Since then I have had the pleasure of designing hundreds of weddings and events in Dalmatia.
During this time I have also traveled to the United States and received my certification as an Accredited Event Designer through the Institute of Wedding and Event Design. I pride myself on the personal touch I give to each client, and every time I expect to exceed rather than meet their expectations. My greatest reward is making each clients dream design come to life!
Besides being an event designer, I am also a wife, mother of two teenagers, and an avid baker! My favourite pastime is entertaining friends and family at our summer home in the coutryside
Wedding planner and
event designer
Hi, I'm Mario
My first job within the event industry was working at an international tourism fair and movie festival as an assistant to the senior event planning committee. From there I worked my way up to becoming the festival project coordinator.
I loved every part of that job, especially the opportunity to help create the general concept and overall vision of the project, as well as dealing with all the little details that are so crucial for any successful event. Working on these major projects provided me with a vast amount of experience and industry contacts. It also allowed me the opportunity to develop my own personal style and approach to event planning. A transition from these projects to the more personal events was somehow natural for me. I’ve always loved being in direct contact with my clients.
In my free time I am a little bit of a sports geek – I enjoy playing football and running (but not too much) and I follow every possible sport and sporting event. Apart from sports, I simply love to travel (but who doesn’t) …whether it’s a trip to a local island in Croatia, a weekend road trip, or a bigger trip abroad, I love it all! And yes, my grandpa has a little vineyard and an olive orchard. I am trying to learn the tricks of the trade so that I can carry on our family tradition of wine and olive oil making.
