Brac for your wedding
Brač is the easiest island for guest logistics — 45 to 50 minutes by car ferry from Split, with the widest range of accommodation options of any Dalmatian island. The famous Zlatni Rat beach is here, but the real wedding settings are the inland stone villages, hilltop taverns, and olive groves. Best for couples who want the island feel without making guests work for it.
What to know before you commit: Car ferries run frequently and fit buses, which is why we recommend Brač for larger weddings. The island is big (the third largest in the Adriatic), so venue-to-accommodation distances can be longer than on smaller islands — worth factoring in transfer timing when we plan the weekend. Nothing dramatic, just something to build around.
If Brač doesn't quite fit: Couples wanting a more remote, exclusive feel often end up on Vis. Couples who want a buzzier nightlife atmosphere usually pick Hvar. Brač is the calmest of the three, which is exactly why it works so well for mixed-age groups and weekends where the focus is on the wedding itself.
