Solta for your wedding
Šolta is the underdog. An hour from Split by ferry, and a fraction of the crowds you'll find on Hvar or Brač. Quiet bays, working olive groves, family-run wineries — the island that hasn't been Instagrammed yet. For couples who want a Croatian island wedding that feels properly their own, Šolta is one of our favourite recommendations.
What to know before you commit: Fewer ferries per day than Brač or Hvar, so guest transfer timing needs a bit more planning (which we handle). The venue shortlist is smaller, which actually makes the decision easier — the best ones stand out quickly. Accommodation is mostly small villas and family-run guesthouses rather than big hotels, which most couples end up preferring. For groups over 50, we plan the accommodation block early so everyone stays close to the wedding.
If Šolta doesn't quite fit: Couples wanting a wider venue choice or more nightlife nearby often end up on Brač or Hvar. Šolta is genuinely quiet — that's the point, and for the right couple, it's exactly why they pick it over the bigger islands.
